The Ultherapy Treatment
Preparation
The Ultherapy treatment starts with a one-on-one consultation with our providers who will assess your skin, address your concerns and see if you are a good candidate. There are no special pre-treatment requirements for Ultherapy candidates other than avoiding direct sun exposure, harsh procedures and skin care a couple of days prior to treatment that can make your skin more sensitive.
Procedure
After cleansing your skin and examining the treatment area, your provider will apply ultrasound gel and place the Ultherapy applicator against your skin. With the help of real-time ultrasound imaging, your provider will locate problem areas that need to be treated and then deliver ultrasound energy to these areas. You may experience a warming sensation or tingling during the treatment. The procedure takes between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
Recovery
You can return to your usual activities immediately after treatment. While there may be minor redness, swelling and tenderness post-treatment, these problems are mild and temporary. In rare cases, clients may experience bruising or temporary numbness in the treatment area.
Results
The results from this treatment take some time to develop — up to six months in many cases. The skin tightening from Ultherapy occurs gradually over several weeks as the skin and supportive tissues begin to build new collagen and elastin fibers. Your results will then last up to two years with good skincare and lifestyle habits.
